The moisture adjustment treatment of nylon injection molded parts means that nylon products can quickly absorb moisture and reach saturation through artificial means such as boiling, spraying hot water, and steam humidification.

     1) Forming a water bath method; this method is usually to place some containers filled with water under the injection molding machine. When the nylon injection molded part is opened, the ejected part enters the water, and the time the part stays in the water depends on the size and wall thickness of the product. The method is simple and low in operation cost, and is suitable for horizontal automatic injection molding machines. The water bath time of the product before and after production is different, and the water absorption is also different; due to the water bath, the production site is very dirty, and it is difficult to control the 5S in the workshop. After the product is taken out after the water bath, no matter whether the surface is dry or dry, it is necessary to remove the excess water on the surface. The processing time will increase, and water stains will often remain on the surface, which will affect the appearance of the nylon injection molded product.

     2) In the bag bath method, after the nylon injection molded product is formed, it is packaged with water in a polyethylene (PE) bag and sealed to absorb the required water. The most widely used example of this method. The bagged bath method usually does not contain too much water, otherwise the residual water in the packaging bag will cause dissatisfaction with customers. The disadvantage is that due to insufficient water injection, the product cannot fully absorb water and cannot achieve the most ideal humidity control effect.

     3) The boiling method, the method of boiling is stricter. Depending on the condition of the nylon injection molded part, especially the size of the part, place the part in hot water for several hours. Generally speaking, for every 1 mm increase in the thickness of the part, the placement time will increase by 1 h. However, the boiling water temperature is 100°C, while the heat distortion temperature of unreinforced nylon is only about 70°C. Therefore, this method is only suitable for reinforced nylon materials.

     4) Humid air method. Humid air method is the most stringent and precise humidification method, which can precisely control temperature, humidity and time. Of course, this method also has disadvantages. Compared with the water bath, the moisture absorption rate in the atmosphere is much slower, so the nylon injection molded parts of this method have a higher moisture absorption cost.
